Office Building

Built around 1968, The 105 Building was first home to South Central Bell Telephone Company. South Central Bell Telephone Company was the name of the Bell System's operations in Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. For less than a year, a local bookstore was located at this facility and only 8 years after the building was erected, Hurt & Jones Law Offices purchased the building and called it their home for nearly 30 years until, for a short time around 2004, the building was used as a cosmetology teaching facility. Today, the building is home to Helix Creative, a Graphic and Website Design firm as well as MidSouth Vinyl Sign Company and Murray Life Magazine.

The building has multiple elegant details from the time period it was built including a contoured rounded brick wall courtyard, stone workmanship above each window and stately detail to the woodwork around the entrance of the building. Besides the color of the building, which used to be red brick, and the re-fabrication of the original garage into a full kitchen for added office space, most of the property's structure is as original as it was the day it was built; including the original parquet flooring in one of the offices. The building was also featured in the Historic Downtown Magazine in 2014 from Murray Main Street.
